350 WA (“we”, “us” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, maintain, and disclose information collected from Civic Action Team Participants (“you” or “your”) when signing up on our website at https://www.350wa.org/cat (“the site”). We will never sell your Personal Information. We will only share your Personal Information with our trusted third parties in order to use digital tools that provide communications to the Civic Action Team.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies only to the site. If you click on a link to another website from our site, the Privacy Policy will not apply to the information collected on that website. We have no control over such third party websites nor any information that you provide to such websites or that such websites collect from you.

The Privacy Policy applies to our collection and use of Personal Information, which means any information that we collect relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, including, but not limited to a Participant’s name, email address, home address, and mobile phone number (“Personal Information”).

Personal Information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data collected about the use of the site or about a group or category or services or Participants, from which individual identifies or other Personal Information has been removed and cannot be identified. The Privacy Policy does not limit our collection and use of aggregate information.

You may voluntarily provide us information when you sign up to join the Civic Action Team as a Participant. This includes your name, email address, home address, and mobile phone number. 

We automatically collect information when you visit the site, including information from your device. Specifically, information we collect automatically may include your computer’s IP address, your browser type and operating system, web pages you were visiting immediately before and after you visited the site, web pages that you view and links you click within the site, standard server log information, and information collected through cookies. If you access the site through a mobile device, the type of mobile device, your device’s unique ID, the type of mobile Internet browser and operating system you use, and the location of your device may also be collected.

How we use your information

We may use the collected information in various ways to send email and text communications to our Civic Action Team to make it as easy as possible for you to contact your legislator and ask them to pass important climate bills.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

How we share your information

We will only make Personal Information about you available to our trusted third parties in order to use digital tools to provide communications to the Civic Action Team. This includes trusted third-party service providers employed to deliver communications such as emails and surveys to our Civic Action Team.

How to opt-out of future communications, update your information, or delete your information

To opt-out of future emails, you can use the unsubscribe link provided in the email communication. To opt-out of future text messages, you can respond ‘STOP’ to the text message communication.

In the case we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

California privacy rights

If you reside in California and provided your Personal Information to us, you may request information once per calendar year about our disclosures of certain categories of your Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
